Most aneroidów generally can not be matched with rtęciowymi barometrami in terms of accuracy of measurement. But they offer another advantage - they are much more durable. Thus, it applies wherever it is required that the device was small and easy to use. Aneroid is used as a type of aviation altimeters. In this case, the scale is constructed so that the device does not show the pressure, but the height above the ground. If the case has not been that altimeter calibrated in accordance with prevailing weather conditions, could prove that the plane flies lower than the meter indicates. As a result, it could be up to the disaster, especially when visibility is not very good.
